Service Opportunities

Below are a few of the ways you can get involved outside of regular class and worship times. If you are interested, contact the ministry leader.

River Ridge Devotional and Singing
A few of our  members go to the River Ridge Nursing Home every Sunday at 2:00 p.m. to provide a devotional and the Lord's Supper to the residents. We are always in need of men willing to lead the devo, lead singing, or serve the Lord's Supper. Everyone and anyone are invited to come and sing!  See Dale Mathis for more information.

River Ridge Singing and Birthday Celebration
Our Wednesday Morning Ladies Class goes to River Ridge Nursing Home on the 4th Wednesday of each month at 10:00 a.m. to lead a time of singing and celebrate birthdays with the residents. If you enjoy singing and encouraging others, this ministry is a great way to serve. See Ruth Gilleland or Jan Whiteley for information.

Bread for Life Pantry
Our congregation sponsors the Bread for Life Pantry located at the Corpus Christi Food Bank. Every Tuesday from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. we provide food to families in need. Help is always needed assisting the participants pick out groceries and take them to their cars or to the bus stop. If you are unavailable on Tuesday, the United Methodist Church serves on Fridays under our direction.  For more information see Wendy Anderson.

Metro Ministries
We currently support Metro Ministries in their work with the homeless and indigent in the Corpus Christi area. We are working to expand our involvement with their work. If you have a heart for the downtrodden, contact our church office or Metro Ministries (www.ccmetro.org).
